Impromptu #74

Impromptu #74 opens with a melody which conjures a sense of mystery, nudging the listener to buckle in and hear how things progress. The suspense intensifies for a minute and a quarter when the tempo decreases and the key signature transitions from A minor to F# minor. The second theme enters somberly, nearly an arabesque.
