We took it and made a reggae version. Little did I know that years later I would work with Chris and he would become of my best friends and producer of some of my records. Rachel sang two songs on my Grady Nichols & Friends LIVE record. What a funny little world this is! “In The Fullness Of Time” was a rare opportunity presented to me where the Family Broadcasting Company, formerly LeSEA Broadcasting, asked if I would produce a live concert recorded in the KWHB Studios in Tulsa, Oklahoma in their studios. I was in the middle of doing “Sophistication” with Jeff Lorber and had a bunch of songs written that really didn’t fit the smooth jazz record I was working on so those were adapted for this special which was recorded LIVE. This also was the first time I got to work with Grammy winner Bill Champlin, and this was the beginning of what started our long friendship. His versions of “Heaven Help Us All” and “Amazing Grace” are definitely high points on the record!
