Better late than never, I guess? I lovelovelove progressive rock, so this is one of my first attempts at that style of sound. Avanna seemed like the natural choice for the few vocals present in the song. I like to think that the "correct" meaning of the lyrics is "whatever they mean to the listener." It's been almost a year since I've posted my last (first?) original, Dreamlander. Since then, I definitely haven't stopped working on music, but I had a lot of trouble getting my projects to a point where I could complete them due to various factors — skill, lack of inspiration, time, suddenly hating the project halfway through, etc etc. I started and finished this song within the span of about two days, which is kind of... frustrating, I guess, since there are several other projects that I've put much more time into, and yet this sounds better to me than all of them. (And even THEN there are so many things that I'd do differently...) Hopefully I'll figure out a more efficient workflow. Thank you for listening!
