A Celebration of Gratitude | Teacher’s Day 2026 | St. Xavier’s School, Manas Today, the halls of St. Xavier’s School, Manas, resonated with joy, rhythm, and reverence as we celebrated Teacher’s Day on the 5th of September. It was a morning where the usual hum of lessons gave way to the melodic beats of gratitude. Our students poured their hearts into beautifully coordinated dances, each step a silent "thank you" to the mentors who shape their lives. The seamless execution was a testament to the beautiful synergy between the students' enthusiasm and the teachers' unwavering support behind the scenes. The highlight of our short yet profoundly sweet celebration was when our esteemed Principal stepped forward to present gifts of appreciation to the dedicated faculty, followed by a warm lunch that brought everyone together in fellowship. My heartiest congratulations to the Teachers in charge and every student who participated at all levels—you made this day truly special. For me, this year marks a monumental milestone: my 34th year of celebrating this sacred occasion. My journey began in 1992 at the Manipur Boarding School in Gelmol, Moirang—a place that now lies in haunting ruins due to the civil unrest in Manipur. Standing here today, I am overwhelmed with emotion. That school is gone, but the lessons I learned and the lives I touched there remain etched in my soul. Through decades of highs and lows, this profession has shaped me, humbled me, and given my life purpose. To my beloved past students, my former colleagues, and the bright Xavierians of today—I wish you boundless learning, unshakable prosperity, and enduring happiness. As I look at the young faces before me, I see hope. I see the future. My heart is full of love for this generation. May you always carry the light of knowledge and the warmth of kindness. Jai Hind. 🇮🇳
