MKH-416 Mix Pre 3 Vs NTG-2 and H4N Pro: An Unfair Comparison

This video presents a question: Do I save up to buy the Pro's gear or buy the Joe's gear that I can afford now. I purchased the NTG-2 and H4N Pro as my starting equipment. While better than the built in microphones on small mirrorless cameras, they are not the best that money can buy. I finally saved up enough money to buy a Sennheiser MKH-416 and Mix Pre 3 Mark II and I don't think I'll look back again. I don't regret having purchased the NTG-2 and H4N pro as it allowed me to make videos with acceptable sound quality starting out, but I am glad that I didn't piecemeal any other equipment along the way, having saved up enough to upgrade once to the MKH-416 and MixPre3-ii.
