New Guitar Build: Freedomcaster (Episode 8 - Installing the Output Jack)

Episode 8 of a multi-part series in which Paul McKeever designs and builds a Stratocaster-style "partscaster" that he calls his "Freedomcaster". In Episode 8: Paul discovers that the 3/4ths inch option for a jack rout on his Warmoth Stratocaster body is too snug for his output jack. A little bit of Dremel sanding of the inside of the jack rout solves the problem. NOTE: Warmoth offers a 7/8ths inch option for a jack rout. Paul recommends that, if you're buying a Warmoth Strat body, get the 7/8ths inch rout, and save yourself the Dremel sanding. Watch for additional episodes each Friday.
