Performance Anxiety | 🎤Podcast Ep.41

Clarinetist James Shields recently made a very thought provoking comment on his Facebook page: “ Just as we are getting back in the swing of things at the Oregon Symphony, I'm being visited by my first struggles with performance anxiety in several years. UGH. I've talked to enough folks about this topic over the years to know that a lot of people who you might not expect have had their struggles with performance anxiety - even if it can feel like you're the only one going through it. If anyone else out there is having a bumpier ride with performing these days than they'd like, you are not alone!" I decided to reach out to James to explore this idea of Performance Anxiety and hope that sharing our experiences can help other people going through similar things! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clarinet Equipment Vandoren Rue Lepic Reeds Size 3.5+: https://amzn.to/30SzXny Vandoren BD5 Mouthpiece: https://amzn.to/3xxhAkx Vandoren Leather Ligature: https://amzn.to/3iW2M7R Buffet Chadash Barrel: https://amzn.to/3iVNIHA Buffet Tradition B-Flat Clarinet: https://amzn.to/3xb1qLB Buffet Tosca A Clarinet: https://amzn.to/3ynv0yM Bass Clarinet Equipment Vandoren 3.5 Traditional Reeds: https://amzn.to/2WmITPI Selmer Focus Mouthpiece: https://amzn.to/3j1HuG7 Vandoren Leather Baritone Sax Ligature: https://amzn.to/3iSknO6 Buffet 1193 and Buffet 1195 Tosca Bass Clarinet: https://amzn.to/3zIQHK6 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visit http://candidclarinetistpodcast.com for more information about myself and other Candid Clarinetist content. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Video and Audio equipment used in shooting my podcast: 📷Sony A6400: https://amzn.to/3oJn4SR 🔍Sigma 16mm F 1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens: https://amzn.to/2MpnUHw 🎤Shure SM7B Dynamic Microphone: https://amzn.to/3eBUyAv 🔈Rodecaster Pro Audio Interface: https://amzn.to/3sUZKFg As as amazon affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Be sure to like, comment, and hit that SUBSCRIBE button!
