SAN ANTONIO STAND UP! THE LYRIC LEAGUE SERIES TOUCHES DOWN IN THE 210! The Punchline Academy's Lyric League Series continues its nationwide run, and this time we're bringing the microphones to SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS! We linked up with The College of Hip Hop Knowledge and Spy MC to find some of the best underground MCs in the city and give them an opportunity to show the world what San Antonio hip hop is all about! And don't get it twisted — San Antonio has REAL hip hop history! Long before Texas rap became a worldwide movement, San Antonio was already making noise. In 1980, local DJ Disco Al and the Barrio Sound Band released “The Bounce Rap,” widely recognized as the first rap record recorded in Texas! From the city's early hip hop pioneers to the underground MCs keeping the culture alive today, San Antonio has always had its own voice. For this edition, we switched things up! Instead of a brand-new production, these MCs got busy over “My Brother's Keeper,” a classic-sounding beat produced by Da Inphamus Amadeuz off of Shortee Sha's up coming album "A Letter To U Too" And once that beat dropped, the 210 came ready to represent! One city full of hungry lyricists looking to make their mark. Big salute to The College of Hip Hop Knowledge, Spy MC, and every artist who came out to represent San Antonio! We're taking the Lyric League Series from city to city, putting real talent in front of a worldwide audience and keeping the art of lyricism alive. WE BRING THE RADIO STATION TO THE STREETS!* WHO HAD THE BEST BARS⁉️ Drop your favorite MC in the comments and let us know which city we should hit next!
