A little info for you: The Recreational Craft Directive (RCD) was introduced in 1994 came into force on 16th June 1996 (as an optional standard), and became mandatory on 16th June 1998 for all applicable recreational craft, including narrowboats. If you buy a boat in the future, which was built after 16th June 1998 and there has been major internal modifications on the boat and if it has not been certified, you may struggle to sell it at a later date. If you would like to ask us anything, please feel free to comment, we will answer you either in comments or a future vlog.
