Won't you please... die for me?
Back in popular demand, it's this wonderful kill recreated in HD glory this time! Be warned, you are watching a cursed video! Do not try this at home!
All 8 Tentacles are dead for this fight, or not even Drawing Slice would be able to deal with phase 1.
Phase 1 is namely about trying to get as many doubles out as possible. Ninpo: Smoke combined with Concealment can increase Alice's evasion sky high, since she has a 24% evasion bonus against the Abyssal God due to her spending a lot of time in a library. Combined, this all gives her a total evasion of 134%! This is enough to be guaranteed to dodge most of the Abyssal God's attacks, but not all of them.
Most of the Abyssal God's attacks have 120% base accuracy so they'll always miss, but it has a few others that are 150% base accuracy, giving those attacks a 16% hit rate. Unfortunately this includes all of its elementals in phase 1. And not much can be done about that other than gearing up for Fire immunity to give the Alices some wiggle room. This phase has a bit of luck involved hoping that it doesn't recover too many Tentacles while also hoping Alice can summon enough doubles by turn 9, which is when I want to kill this phase with Drawing Slice. Revenge Bomb helps at least for keeping this phase's HP down.
Now obviously Drawing Slice is going to be the method to kill this thing, but there are a few issues with that. Because I have a Farmer mainclass, that actually severely cuts down on my damage even with maxed stats and having 6 doubles to feed Drawing Slice. Even in those conditions, Drawing Slice cannot kill the Abyssal God on Expert. The lack of Charge and Berserker Vow are already big setbacks, and the Farmer does not have a damage amplifier like Endless Battle to help Drawing Slice's damage. The only buffs she can use are Bravants and Charge Tactic, but that's not enough for the kill, and Charge Tactic locks Alice out of a far more important Limit Skill. So we're going to have to get a bit... creative to pull off this kill. (The funny thing is, Basic gives enough of a damage amp for Bravant and Charge Tactic to help get the kill. But you'll have to be lucky and roll for the 5 hit Drawing Slice.)
So during phase 2, the goal is... to stall out the fight until turn 40. There's a very good reason for this. Until then I have the Alices spam Ninpo: Smoke since it's a level 10 skill, and ensures all the Alices gain 15 Limit per turn. I want Indomitable up on as many Alices as possible by the time Abyssal God goes into Enrage mode. Now in this phase, Chaotic Beckon and Chaos Tentacle have 150% base accuracy. Fortunately, both of these are physical attacks, so Ninpo: Flight can be used to nullify those attacks, preventing the doubles from dying. It's pretty easy to stall out the fight, so the magic happens at turn 37 where I turn on auto battle deliberately. The reason for this is because I want my Alices to get Cursed (and hope at least 1 of those lasts until turn 40). Oh and I heal them up beforehand so they can facetank anything else that comes there way by then.
Once turn 40 hits, all of the Abyssal God's attacks have 300% base accuracy, so dodging them is a lot harder (They get lowered to 200% during the accuracy formula, which then gets lowered to 66% with Ninpo: Smoke active). This is why I wanted Indomitable up on all the Alices, so I can get 1 extra turn to pull off the kill.
Now I have a Cursed Alice cast Drawing Slice on turn 40 to showcase something interesting. Normally when Drawing Slice gets cast, all the double merge together first, then the damage is dealt. But that only happens from a visual standpoint. From a mechanical standpoint, the damage is dealt first, then the doubles merge. This matters because Curse backlash damage instantly kicks in after the damage is dealt. But since the damage is dealt before the double merge, this causes a glitch where the game gets confused because the double died during the attack. So instead of merging the rest of the doubles, it aborts the process, leaving 5 other doubles on the field. In short, this means you can use a high powered Drawing Slice 2 turns in a row! Which allows me to get the kill despite the restriction I had to deal with!
But as for why I had to wait until turn 40, this is because of a big problem in the fight known as the defense form. If I tried this earlier, the Abyssal God has a good chance of going back into defense form and basically making the fight VERY unpredictable. However, once the Abyssal God enters enrage mode, it's completely trapped in its offensive mode! This is why the fight was stalled out, to ensure the tactic that normally ensures the Abyssal God's victory actually causes its own downfall. So it can't go back into defense mode and is forced to watch helplessly as Alice finishes it off.
