Matthew 2 Bible Study | The King Has Come | The Gospel Study

Welcome to The Gospel Study. 📖 In this series, we are walking through the four Gospels chapter by chapter, taking time to understand the life, ministry, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Matthew 2, the story of Jesus continues as visitors from the East arrive in Jerusalem searching for the newborn King. Their journey leads them to Bethlehem, but their arrival also draws the attention of King Herod, whose response sets off a chain of events that forces Joseph, Mary, and Jesus to flee to Egypt. In this chapter, we see: ✨ The visit of the Magi ⭐ The significance of the star 👑 Herod's search for the child 📍 Jesus' birth in Bethlehem 🇪🇬 The family's escape to Egypt ⚔️ Herod's devastating response 🏠 The return of Jesus and His family to Nazareth But Matthew 2 is more than a series of events surrounding Jesus' childhood. It continues to reveal who Jesus is — the promised King — and shows how the events surrounding His early life connect with what God had spoken through the Scriptures. 📖 Today's Reading: Matthew Chapter 2 As we go through this Gospel one chapter at a time, the goal isn't simply to read about Jesus, but to understand His story, His identity, His mission, and why His life matters.
