In this opening chapter, Book One: The Mainland, the lens shifts away from the commercial "hustle" narrative to explore memory, childhood inspiration, and identity. Moving from sweeping aerial perspectives of the dense, breathing landscapes of Ikorodu down to the academic and creative sanctuary of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), we follow the artist from the bustling streets into the quiet, intimate foley of the studio. Here, environmental grit transforms into profound visual art. As an ongoing documentary anthology, this project expands chronologically and geographically—bridging the raw foundations of the mainland with upcoming chapters exploring institutional spaces.
