Pope Francis’s coffin is sealed in private ceremony ahead of funeral

Pope Francis's coffin was sealed in a private ceremony behind the closed doors of St Peter's Basilica. A white cloth was placed over the pontiff's face so he is no longer seen by the world and a bag of medals and coins from his reign as Pope were placed in the coffin. An account of his papacy was also read aloud, placed in a tube and put in the coffin.
