The Tale of Mad Jack Fuller & his Follies - Documentary

A documentary that explains Mad Jack Fullers strange and interesting follies that litter the Sussex Countryside. Jack and Jake’s Follies introduces us to six strange buildings found in the small hamlet of Brightling in Sussex, learn about their 'mad' creator and asks us to consider why there is a pyramid in the local churchyard. This is Jake’s journey showing us how he turned this rather odd landscape into his special place 100 years after their initial creation by John 'Mad Jack' Fuller. Our method of addressing this conundrum is to force apart (as far as possible) representation and experience through the device of two narrators: a Curator who gives a dry, seemingly fact-based contextualization of the follies with the delivery of the omnipresent “Voice of God”; with Jake giving his experiences and subjective opinions (which are at times at odds with the facts).
