The Department of Homeland Security and NYC officials remain at odds over immigration agents’ tactics that led to them opening fire on 28-year-old Oscar Belgal. Federal officials accuse Belgal of trying to drive his Honda CRV into agents in the city’s Marble Hill neighborhood in the Bronx during a targeted enforcement operation. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin told CNN’s Jake Tapper that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents acted appropriately, in part because New York refuses to honor the agency’s requests to detain undocumented people accused of crimes. CNN's Priscilla Alvarez also reports on an incident where a man was injured after being struck by an ICE vehicle near Houston, Texas Saturday. 0:00 NYPD video of NYC ICE shooting 0:28 DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin defends ICE tactics 7:39 CNN's Priscilla Alvarez reports on NYC reaction to ICE shooting 8:09 Mayor Zohran Mamdani: New Yorkers want to see "an end to ICE" in NYC 10:35 Man injured after being struck by ICE vehicle near Houston Watch 24/7 live news with CNN Headlines: https://bit.ly/4eIvlTr Stream more on CNN with an All Access subscription: https://cnn.it/4AZMu54 #ICE #HomelandSecurity #News
