2018 Ford Explorer - Oil Change

2018 Ford Explorer XLT 3.5L V6 AWD (no turbo) Oil & Filter change, and check the exhaust. The oil change (and exhaust) should be the same for all 3.5L Explorers from 2011 to 2019. 1/3/2023 Sure…. This is just another oil change, but why not. Leave comments (good or bad). Maybe I should have used a torque wrench, maybe clean oil on the gasket, let’s do it! Right or wrong, I started doing oil changes in the family service station when I was 15ish(?), after I graduated from cleaning toilets and patching tires… a long time ago. Who else can remember that the standard Ford oil filter was Atlas p/n F10 and later F14? And I have done a bunch of oil changes on my back, on a sheet of cardboard. Thank goodness I have long arms, I never needed to jack-up my car for an oil change (wait… except a couple times on my Camaro). For this oil change, I used 5 qts Quaker State full synthetic 5W20 and a Motorcraft FL-500S Filter Total cost was about $30, based on current prices from Amazon Oil filter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...
