In this video we review the SVBONY SV241 Astro Power Box Controller and show how it can simplify an astrophotography setup by acting as a smart power and USB hub for your gear. We walk through the ports, included cables and sensors, how to mount and cable-manage the controller, and how to integrate it with an ASIAIR imaging setup. By routing cameras, focuser, dew heater and other accessories through the power box, it helps reduce load on the ASIAIR and keeps your setup cleaner and more organized. We also take the setup outside and capture the Orion Nebula, showing the workflow from polar alignment through to guided 120-second exposures. Notes from testing: If the ASIAIR struggles to detect connected devices, unplugging and re-plugging the PC port on the SVBONY controller can help restore the connection. The Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro tracking mount did not communicate correctly when connected through the SVBONY controller, so the mount tracking cable was connected directly to the ASIAIR instead.
