I tested 12 popular .22 LR ammo brands to see which ones actually deserve your money and which ones I’d leave on the shelf. The comparison looks at reliability, consistency, cleanliness, cycling performance, and overall value across some of the biggest names in rimfire ammunition, including Remington Thunderbolt, Winchester Wildcat, Federal Auto Match, Aguila Super Extra, Eley Sport, Lapua Center-X, and CCI Mini-Mag. Some expensive ammunition performed exactly as you’d expect. Other brands with huge name recognition fell much lower than expected. And one affordable .22 LR option earned a top-four spot while often costing less per round than several brands ranked below it. If you shoot a Ruger 10/22, Browning Buck Mark, Henry .22, M&P 15-22, or another rimfire rifle or pistol, ammo choice can make a much bigger difference than many shooters realize. Different loads can affect ignition reliability, fouling, accuracy, and whether a semi-auto cycles consistently. Watch through the full ranking to see which 4 .22 LR brands I’d actually buy and which 8 I’d skip. What .22 LR ammo has been the most reliable in your gun? Drop the firearm and ammo brand in the comments. I want to see which combinations are working best for everyone. #22LR #Ammo #Rimfire #CCI #Federal #Shooting
