Horace Mann Project Tour - August 4th, 2026

The Horace Mann School Project is on the home stretch! I stopped by the site this morning to record this video tour and share an update on the incredible progress being made. Outside, the transformation is easy to see. The playground is complete, the rubberized sports surfacing has been installed, the outdoor classroom is finished, trees have been planted, the landscape beds have come to life, and crews are now preparing the site for construction of the new softball field. Inside, the addition is substantially complete. The elevator passed inspection yesterday, the building is on permanent power, and furniture is scheduled to arrive shortly. Technology installation is well underway and substantially complete, while painters are putting on the finishing coats and taking care of final touch-ups. The cafetorium looks beautiful, the gym has been completely transformed, and the library is bright, colorful, and ready to welcome students. Most importantly, the project remains on schedule and on budget. In just a few weeks, staff will begin moving into their new spaces, and before long we'll be welcoming students through the doors for the start of the school year. We can't wait to open this incredible new school to the entire Horace Mann community!
