Popeye the Sailor Classic Cartoon - Fright to the Finish Fully Restored Color in Stereo

This Classic Popeye cartoon is set at Halloween, long long ago in 1953. As usual Popeye and Bluto are fighting over the affections of Olive Oil. This cartoon is really innovative with puppet skeletons and floating ghosts, flying pumpkins and all sorts of madness. For a minute it seems that Bluto may have won Olives affections, but in the end Popeye comes through, scares the heck out of Bluto who runs away screening, leaving the love birds Popeye and Olive Oil alone as usual. Even though this is one of the many Famous Studios formula Popeye cartoons, it does have some very unique qualities. This is one of the very few cartoons, other than Christmas cartoons, that was actually made specifically for Halloween. It seems Abbot and Costello had a Halloween release and specifically requested a Popeye Halloween theme, Dave Fleischer was always one to please, and to this day, this cartoon is a Halloween favorite! By the way, Happy Halloween!
