📍On the night of 6 February 1968, North Vietnamese infantry and Soviet built PT 76 tanks attacked the Special Forces camp at Lang Vei on Route 9, a few miles southwest of the besieged Marine combat base at Khe Sanh. Two dozen American Green Berets and their Montagnard irregulars fought the tanks with rockets and recoilless rifles through the night, while the survivors trapped in the command bunker held out until they broke out the next afternoon. Using the Special Forces after action report and the official Army, Marine Corps and Air Force histories, this animated map documentary follows the night at Lang Vei, the relief force that never came, and the rescue that followed.
