Montana BDR Backcountry Discovery Route Section 2

Section 2 of the Montana Backcountry Discovery Route (MTBDR) runs 139 miles from the historic mining town of Virginia City to Butte. It features wide ranch roads in the Ruby River Valley, scenic dirt tracks through the Big Hole River Valley, and a high-alpine climb through the East Pioneer Mountains.
