Imerovigli, Santorini GR - Was this view worth the Splurge?

🇬🇷 Santorini, Greece was everything we expected…and also completely different from what we imagined. After three adventure-filled days on Milos, we headed to Santorini ready to slow things down and experience the more luxurious side of the Greek islands. For this part of our trip, we decided to splurge—and finding the right place to stay was incredibly important. We chose Imerovigli, where we found an amazing cave-style villa overlooking the iconic blue domes, the caldera and the lights of Imerovigli and Fira, complete with our own private hot tub. And that view became one of the highlights of our entire trip. In this video, we'll take you along as we explore Imerovigli, Fira and Oia, experience some incredible Santorini restaurants, watch unforgettable sunsets, enjoy a flying-dress photoshoot, and show you why sometimes the best moments of a vacation happen when you change your plans. It's undeniably beautiful and we're glad we experienced it, but the crowds made us realize that the most famous place in Santorini wasn't necessarily our favorite. We actually fell in love with the quieter atmosphere of Imerovigli and thoroughly enjoyed walking into Fira along the caldera. You'll also see our stay at Sophia Privilege, dinner overlooking Skaros Rock at Mavro, our unexpected afternoon relaxing at Fico, and our final sunset at 180° Sunset Bar—the restaurant whose live music serenaded us across the caldera every night from our villa. Milos was where we went to explore. Santorini was where we finally slowed down and soaked it all in.
