We went to see Australia's famous koalas, but our visit to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane brought some unexpected wildlife encounters! 🐨🦉🦅 From colourful wild lorikeets and curious guinea pigs to a barn owl flying across to a trainer in the audience, a magnificent wedge-tailed eagle and an exciting sheepdog show, there was much more to discover. And of course, we spent time watching the koalas enjoy their eucalyptus leaves! 🌿 📍 *Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary* 708 Jesmond Road, Fig Tree Pocket, Queensland 4069, Australia Established in 1927, Lone Pine is recognised as the world's oldest and largest koala sanctuary. Today, it is home to more than 100 koalas and over 70 species of native Australian wildlife.
