Singer 500A Rocketeer Refresh | Deep Cleaning ! Part 2

Welcome back to Bespoke By Bill! In the first episode of my Singer 500A Rocketeer rehab series, I take a close look at this vintage Singer 500A and begin the process of bringing it back to life. I start with an initial inspection of the outside of the machine, looking at its overall condition and identifying some of the things that will need attention. Then I open the machine up and get a better look at what’s hiding underneath the covers. From there, the restoration begins! In this episode I start cleaning the machine inside and out, working on both the top and bottom of the machine and removing years of accumulated dirt and grime. This is just the beginning. In the upcoming episodes I’ll continue cleaning, lubricating, testing and repairing the machine to see if I can get this classic Singer sewing again.
