Art Demo!! Mixed Media on Paper!

Hi, all! In today’s video, I’m changing up my substrate! Most of my previous pieces have been made on either stretched canvas or cradled board, but today I’m using mixed media paper. I’m doing this for a few different reasons. First, I was out of cradled boards, lol.🤣🤣🤣 I could’ve ordered some more, but I decided to go with paper because I realize a lot of you probably don’t have the cradled boards, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with making a piece of art on whatever you do have around. It doesn’t make it any less valuable either as a finished product or just as a means of getting your ideas out there.  Another factor to consider is storage. My studio is quite small and already completely overflowing with finished and unfinished projects as well as art supplies, and it simply is easier to store works on paper. I also changed up my method today a little bit. I decided to just grab a handful of my stash of gel prints and commit myself to working with those papers. I did not print anything extra. I was just going to choose from what I had and go from there. I’m really pleased with the outcome, and I hope you enjoy the process!
