How to Build a Smitty Sled Portable and Easy

Here I will be building a Smitty Sled for ice fishing or for any winter camping gear. The Smitty Sled was built with 3/4 EMT conduit and PVC plastic. PVC or Delrin can be purchased from some hardware stores but most likely online such as Amazon or Ebay. This is a very strong lightweight sled setup that can be packed away for easy storage to be reliable for the heavy and harsh conditions of sled pulling. I secured this sled with screws from the EMT fittings. My final recommendation is to use a hard epoxy weld like JB Weld if you do not have access to a welder or by brazing or welding EMT fitments when finished and satisfied with the permanent layout of your sled. I welded mine after completion and took it for a test run and I couldn't be happier.
