Welcome back to another episode of Life of an Entertainer Coach Driver. In this video, I leave Nashville, Tennessee, and travel to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, to meet the band and continue our tour. Along the way, I discuss the skills and preparation required to safely operate a luxury entertainer coach down the steep 6% grade on Monteagle Mountain in Tennessee. Managing speed, selecting the proper gear and understanding the capabilities of the bus are essential when descending a mountain—especially with passengers sleeping behind you. But the most difficult part of this journey had nothing to do with driving. On August 11, 2026—my wife’s and my wedding anniversary—a powerful storm affected my family at home and left our house without electricity. Because I was working hundreds of miles away, I couldn’t be there to help them through it. People often see the beautiful buses, concerts and destinations, but they don’t always see the sacrifices behind this career. Sometimes providing for your family means being away during the moments when they need you the most. The driving is often the easy part—missing home is what makes this job difficult.
