Far above the sea of clouds, an enormous whale with constellations held inside its body swims past without a sound. The whale does not look at her. She does not wave. Two living things simply exist in the same night, each in its own place — and in this world, that is the quietest and most certain hour there is. In time the whale returns to the stars.
