While Chennai has a fascinating past and several remarkable places to explore, my overall experience was disappointing. The dirtiness, litter, and lack of cleanliness in the areas I visited affected my impression of the city. Despite its historical significance and cultural charm, I felt that better cleanliness and maintenance would make Chennai a much more enjoyable destination for travellers.
