SKIMS first ventured into swimwear back in March (Watch my review here:) which initially offered 19 different styles in seven colors. (Since then, the options have expanded to include metallics, accessories, cover-ups, and more.) I personally think this is the most exciting launch yet and a bit shocked that she didn't start with this range first! What makes the Shaping Swim pieces different from those original styles is the fact that they also incorporate shapewear elements in their wet fabric designs. If there's a gap in the market Kim definitely found it! Created in a soft, compressive fabric with a range of flattering silhouettes, the Shaping Swim collection is designed to smooth and mold your body in all the right places. According to the brand, we can expect medium to full coverage from the new line as well as “the signature SKIMS compressive, body-hugging feel.” The line consists of nine new styles available in sizes XXS–4X. Prices range from $54 to $108. The medium- to full-coverage pieces “lightly smooth your curves, cellulite and the body in multiple target areas for the signature Skims compressive body-hugging feel.” Is it really worth it?
