Micah Part 3 - Promised Deliverance

Dr. Kathy Harwood continues her series on Micah with “Micah: Promised Deliverance,” from Micah 2:1–13. In this passage, Micah confronts the greed, injustice, and false teaching that had taken hold among God’s people. Those with power coveted what belonged to others, oppressed the vulnerable, and rejected the warnings of God’s prophets in favor of messages they wanted to hear. Yet judgment is not the end of the story. God promises to gather His people like a shepherd gathers his flock, leading them forward with the Lord Himself at their head. Human plans and proclamations fall short, but God’s promises endure forever. Micah reminds us to guard our hearts against covetousness, remain faithful to the truth of God’s Word, and place our hope in the God who gathers, restores, and delivers His people.
