Henry M. Paulson Jr., former U.S. Treasury Secretary and CEO of Goldman Sachs, joined Jim Esposito, President of Citadel Securities, for a discussion on global economic risks, U.S.-China relations and the implications of AI and energy security. Drawing on his experience navigating the 2008 financial crisis, Paulson shared lessons on leadership, fiscal discipline and international cooperation in an increasingly uncertain world.
This interview took place at Citadel Securities’ Future of Global Markets 2026 event at Casa Cipriani in New York City on October 20, 2026.
