[LYRICS] Static on, the familiar chill We talk in circles but the room stands still I reach for your hand but the distance grows A quiet confusion that everybody knows... We build these walls just to watch them break Counting every single promise that we couldn't make I try to kick, I try to breathe Fighting the weight of the dark underneath But the water is heavy, the surface is high I'm tired of asking why What do we say when we try to fall in? The anchor... I never wanted the flame But something inside me is calling my name Invisible gravity of beautiful me To the bottom of it all. It's not that I want to watch it burn But there's a lesson that I never learn A ghost in the shadow that I can't identify It pulls the strings while I close my eyes. Is it comfort and ruin? There’s a safety in pain Standing outside in the freezing rain. (Chorus) But the water is heavy, the surface is high... I don't want the loss, I don't want the fall But the self-destruction is the loudest call We return to the dust, we return to the floor Sinking down to the deep... To the bottom, we just sink.
