"We Helped Him Improve!" Oleksandr Usyk EXPLAINS Why Canelo Alvarez Trained With His Team! Oleksandr Usyk has opened up on why Canelo Alvarez joined him in Spain during training camp, with the Mexican star choosing Usyk’s Gandía base as part of his preparation for Christian Mbilli. The move gave Canelo access to a high-level environment built around conditioning, movement, rhythm changes and elite-level preparation — all areas closely associated with Usyk’s training methods. There was also a very practical reason behind the switch. Canelo said he struggled with the time-zone adjustment during his previous trip to Saudi Arabia, so training in Spain allows him to adapt gradually before flying to Riyadh for the October 31 fight with Mbilli. Usyk reportedly invited Canelo to use the facility, making the camp both a strategic and logistical move. #oleksandrusyk #canelo #caneloalvarez #boxingtraining #christianmbilli
