The War of the Roses - Battle of Tewkesbury 1471 in 28mm.

Awesome game this weekend at the club (Kennesaw Mountain Gamers in ATL, GA). Titch White & Cory Ring set up and ran the Battle of Tewkesbury 1471 using approximately 2,700 28mm minis. The battle opened with the boom of artillery and massed arrow volleys, then the heavy footmen moved into the fray. The battle seesawed back and forth until the Earl of Gloucester was seriously wounded and Yorkist casualties started mounting up, forcing them to call off the attack. We determined the Lancastrians would have been able to pull back and cross the River Severn, allowing them to escape to fight another day.
