What does a fragrance collection look like after 12 months of collecting compared to 40 years? In Episode 20 of Rate My Collection, we’re looking at four collections from completely different stages of the fragrance journey. Two of these collectors are still very early in the process. They’re experimenting, discovering new houses, figuring out which styles resonate with them, and beginning to develop their own taste. The other two have spent years — and in one case, decades — refining their collections. One has been collecting since the 1980s. These are highly curated fragrance wardrobes built through years of smelling, buying, selling, learning, and gradually understanding exactly what deserves a place in the collection. That contrast is what makes this episode so interesting. A newer collection doesn’t need to look like one that took 20, 30, or 40 years to build. Finding your taste takes time.
