The Abyss Beneath the Abyss

The sunset hangs in my throat, a sunset that never rose. Thorns and wire are tangled in the burned silence of my trachea. Wind howls through my chest through the hole left by the final blow. Where something once beat, now there is only an empty echo. My brain is shrinking from the fire, every cell wants to scream. My hands, like tools after the end, still remember the motion of prayer. This is the abyss beneath the abyss! The very center of hell and of nothing! There is no deeper fall left — and still I am falling, down, down, down! This is the abyss beneath the abyss! And beneath it, one more shadow! And I shout into the face of emptiness: this is not the end — not yet! My eyes are like poisoned wells, as if light had died inside them. I look through myself and see a mortuary, glass, and dead light. My blood is black as oil, it has clogged every vein. Hell? Only an empty container, cold, dead, without force. At night I hear God unscrewing the bolts of the universe. This is not a dream, not a sign, it’s a breakdown in the final port. This is the abyss beneath the abyss! The very center of hell and of nothing! There is no deeper fall left — and still I am falling, down, down, down! This is the abyss beneath the abyss! And beneath it, one more shadow! And I shout into the face of emptiness: this is not the end — not yet! And yet — even the bottom has its own bottom. And beneath it another سقوط, another breath made of ash, another wound, another night. And there I lie with blood that is no longer mine, writing the final sign across my skin. This is the abyss beneath the abyss! There is nowhere left to go! But if this must be the end — then let it sound like rage and pain! This is the abyss beneath the abyss! And beneath it, an even greater dark! I do not die in silence — I howl into the middle of the night, out into the dark! The abyss beneath the abyss... at the very bottom... even lower... not yet.
