Error Instruments Speak & Glitch: Overview and Sound Demo

In this video, I introduce another device from Error Instruments, the Speak & Glitch, an experimental synth module inspired by the classic Speak & Spell toy by Texas Instruments (it uses the same sound chip), but pushed far beyond its original capabilities: while the original focused on producing clear speech, the Speak & Glitch excels at generating chaotic, fragmented, and percussive sounds. I begin with a short presentation of the device, its physical features, UI, and functionality. I then go on to demonstrate its capability through an improvised jam (my first with this device), paired with two Vongon effect pedals: the Paragraphs II (resonant low-pass filter) and the Polyphrase (stereo delay). The performance was recorded live, then lightly mixed and mastered in Pro Tools.
