At some point, adulthood can start to feel like a list of milestones you’re supposed to tick off in the “right” order. Get the career. Buy the house. Get married. Have kids. And somehow, if you haven’t checked enough boxes by a certain age, it can feel like you’re falling behind. But who actually decided there was a timeline? In this episode, we’re talking about the pressure to follow the traditional path of marriage, children and everything that supposedly comes with being a “successful” adult. How much of what we want is genuinely ours, and how much have we simply been taught to want? We’re getting honest about timelines, comparison, societal expectations and the weird feeling that everyone around you is moving forward while you’re still figuring out what forward even means. Because maybe marriage and kids shouldn’t be boxes to tick. Maybe they should be choices we make because we genuinely want them. And maybe there’s nothing wrong with taking your time, changing your mind, or choosing a completely different life altogether. Your life isn't a checklist. So why are we so determined to treat it like one?
