Muckleshoot member and Executive Director of Culture and Heritage Walter Pacheco (1951-2022) tells the story of the annual Canoe Journey. The Native American tradition began in 1989 as the Paddle to Seattle and continues today as #CanoeJourney2023 #PaddleToMuckleshoot, Canoe Journey is a celebration of Muckleshoot heritage and culture that connects us to our ancestors and sustains us as a Tribe and a people.
