News from the NFL this week: The Chicago Bears losing streak continues, as they fall to 0-10. Jay Cutler has woefully underperformed, so he's been benched in favor of newcomer Tony Romo, who was waived by Miami earlier this season. Romo has been a lifetime backup in the NFL, first behind Drew Bledsoe in Dallas, then behind Kellen Clemens in New York, and behind Daunte Culpepper in Miami this season. With the emergence of Jonathan Morse, it made Romo expendable. The QB played his college football in the state of Illinois, making this somewhat of a homecoming. There has never been a team to go 0-16... The New York Giants went out west to face Los Angeles last week in a game of strong defenses. Manning and McNabb struggled to get anything going early, but both clutched up in the 2nd half. We have the highlights. We also watch some of the Sunday Night contest featuring Peyton's Broncos and Goosen's Chiefs. Ryan Clark faced his former team as Pittsburgh came down to Miami to challenge the Dolphins unbeaten record. Dan Orlovsky was promoted to first-string over rookie QB Bruce Williams. Williams has been adequate if underwhelming, but with Indy's 2-8 record, it seems that Williams will spend the rest of the year on the bench and focus on development. Meanwhile, the 4th year QB out of UConn will receive the majority of snaps under center Jeff Saturday. We preview the slate of Thanksgiving games. The Lions host the Panthers at 12:30, followed by the Cowboys vs the Cardinals at 4. This year, the NFL will also debut a primetime Thanksgiving game, with the 10-0 Dolphins going on the road to face the 0-10 Bears at Soldier Field. Temperatures will be below freezing, with a 60% chance of snow.
