Malcolm Holcombe - Sittin' Sad - Jammin' at Hippie Jacks.mpg

Malcolm Holcombe - Sittin' Sad. This is not so much a musical performance as it is an exorcism. I almost deleted the original recording without viewing first, but for some reason lingered to watch this "Slingblade" like character just long enough to catch the first ringing notes of his percussive fingerstyle acoustic attack - and I was hooked. Thanks again to Jammin' at Hippie Jacks for introducing me to another great Roots Music musician. sittin' sad shotgun blasts an' drum circles bustin' rocks an' workin' my nerves mama's mad and dog tired sittin' sad and wonderin' april fool's a funny day breakin' rules and laughin' mama's mad and dog tired sittin' sad and wonderin' knoxville bound again an' a'goin' snow's a comin' doncha know mama's mad an' dog tired yeah, wore out now, yeahhhhh loooong faced town to town my head a'spinnin' I can't sit still i miss you here but mama's wore out and tired yeahhhhhhhh, long faced the days growin' long an' longer now I can't remember anyhow but mama's wore out she's tired, tired yeah, looonnnng faced, yeah it's a chilly spring an' the money's low sell that ring gonna watch it roll cause mama's mad an' dog tired she's sittin' sad and wonderin' shotgun blasts an' drum circles bustin' rocks an' workin' my nerves mama's mad lord, wore out and tired, tired, wonderin', tired a wonderin', yeaaahhhh' and loooong faced, yeah lord it's a long face, just wore out an' tired, tired. c.2004 gypsy eyes music BMI malcolm holcombe
