The Honolulu Fish Auction in Full Action!

The Honolulu Fish Auction is located on Pier 38 in Honolulu. It is the only fresh Tuna auction in the United States. It is a very interesting place and they offer public tours if you like to learn about the business. The auction operates six days a week. The work unloading fish starts 1 a.m. in the morning. Buyers arrive early to take a look at the catch. The auction starts at 5:30 a.m. when the auctioneer rings a brass bell. Up to 100,000 pounds are sold every day.
