October usually means mountains, foliage and pumpkin patches… but I’m still not ready to give up the ocean. 🌊🍂
So I spent a 3-day fall weekend in Cape May, New Jersey, exploring what the Jersey Shore feels like after summer and calling Lokal Cape May home along the way.
And honestly? Cape May might be even better this time of year.
Think quiet beaches, crisp fall mornings, Victorian architecture, farm stops, local coffee and food, a heated pool, historic Cape May, lighthouse views and sunsets over the remains of a century-old shipwreck.
This trip was all about slowing down and seeing a different side of one of New Jersey’s most iconic beach towns, without the summer crowds.
Maybe beach season was never really the point. Sometimes you just need the ocean.
