ALSIP FIRE PREVENTION WEEK BURN EVOLUTIONS

Four rooms were built two were fire sprinkler protected and two were unprotected. Two doors have hollow core doors, one door has a solid core door. Watch a firefighters wife act as the victim and escape from a fire sprinkler room fire. Then watch her escape next to a flashover room fire protected by a hollow core door. We advocate for the Close the Door Campaign but want people to know the limitations of the hollow core door. As a NFPA 13D residential fire sprinkler community we also want people to be aware of the benefits of quick response fire sprinklers, the danger of flashover and the limitations upon firefighters with response time. Thanks to HFSC for the use of the timeline.
