Frozen cathedral

Beneath the dying stars Where winter shades the earth Frozen bells begin to ring For what was never born Icy seals the ancient times Moonlight stains the stone Through the breath of endless night THE DEAD ARE CALLING HOME! I walk beneath the ruined spires Through fields of snow and ice Paintings wear the faces Of those who deceased long ago Cold winds carve forgotten names Into pillars of the dead Every prayer has turned to silence EVERY HEAVEN LIES IN NOTHINGNESS! From the depths of ice I hear heartbeat made of stone Through the frozen dark I am no longer alone Welcome to the frozen cathedral where the dead still sing beneath the ice of eternity we dwell in the forgotten chamber No sun will ever reach this place no god will hear our cries we are the children of the winter BORN BENEATH BLACKENED SKIES! Towers rise like a broken souls Against the crimson moon Ancient shadows crawl the walls And herald final doom The bells begin their funeral march Their voices dim the light Every hope is swallowed whole BY THE FREEZING WINTER NIGHT! There is no salvation There is no light Only endless winter And eternal night The bells fall silent... The snow covers all... And beneath the frozen cathedral... Something still waits.
