Join us on another Happiest Wanderers hiking adventure in Northumberland as we head out from the beautiful Bolam Lake and explore some of the stunning countryside around Shaftoe Crags. This hike takes us from Bolam Lake to Shaftoe Crags, with plenty to see along the way, including the dramatic Devil’s Punch Bowl and Salted Nick Pass. We take in sweeping Northumberland views, quiet countryside tracks and some seriously beautiful walking country. Somewhere along the way we manage to get completely lost, finding ourselves wandering through numerous fields — many of which appear to be occupied by some rather boisterous and curious cows! 🐄🐄 Eventually, after navigating fields, paths, countryside and a few questionable route choices, we make our way back towards Bolam Lake.
