An Outlaw Stole a Dead Preacher's Clothes — and His Pulpit | Full Western Movie

✝️ The town sent for a preacher. It got a gunfighter in a dead man's collar. Ernie Parsons has a noose around his neck and a lynch mob waiting for the branch to take his weight. A quick-thinking girl buys him a few minutes, and he rides off with the whole posse on his heels. Out in the desert he finds a murdered preacher on the trail. Ernie has never had much use for religion — but a black coat and a white collar make a very good disguise. So he rides into the town of Castle Walk as its new parson. The town is run by Mr. Ross, a land boss with twenty hired guns who crushes anyone who stands up to him. The congregation expects the new preacher to pray. Ernie has other ideas. The man in the collar is Marjoe Gortner, who really was a famous child evangelist, ordained at the age of four. With Slim Pickens, David Huddleston and Pamela Sue Martin, directed by Daniel Petrie. Expect: a lynch mob · a gunfighter in a pulpit · a town that has had enough 👍 A thumbs up helps more people find these old films. 💬 Can a man with a gun really change a town for good?
