Balochi Academy, Quetta is the oldest registered literary and cultural body with a mandate for the promotion of Balochi language, art, and culture. In 1958, a large number of writers, poets, political and tribal leaders congregated at Mastung, the main purpose of which was to seek their financial, political, and moral support for Balochi Academy.
